The term Doctor is a bit weird, because it has nothing to do with being a doctor working in a hospital or something. They give people the title Doctor if you have done research in a specific topic and have proven to a committee of people even higher in rank that you are able to do research on your own. When I am finished with my PhD, my title will be: ‘Doctor in Psychology, specialized in child development’. Cool huh? 🙂
