My favourite piece of technology is my iPhone! I can’t live without it now – I especially like being able to use the internet on the train, on the way to work.

It’s amazing to think that until I was doing my A levels (1996), I had never used either a mobile phone, or the internet!!

I’m a big fan of the computer, because you can do so many different things on it. By day I use it for work, by night I play games on it :). As for being a scientist it saves soooo much times not having to do all the mathematical calculations by hand! 🙂

Hmmmm, mine is probably the internet. It is such an amazing communication tool, and has cut down the time that scientists spend looking in libraries and magazines for other literature down massively, meaning they can spend even more time doing research. I love the idea that all of our knowledge and undertanding of so many different aspects of everything are easily accessible by almost everyone on the planet!

I have two pieces.. My ipod touch and my Xbox 360!
My ipod has the coolest astronomy apps in the world and is great for work! I can hook it up to a projector and give students live tour of the night sky and show them awesome galaxies and far of worlds in 3D!
Then after a hard days work its time to chill on xbox live with my boys and play some Halo & COD! 🙂
