• Question: Have you actually found out when the antarctica will melt completely?

      It’s very unlikely that all of Antarctica’s ice sheets will melt, as there are huge mountain ranges all over the continent that are so high they will probably always have ice on them! The ice is very thick too, upto 4 km deep in some places! That is unless global warming becomes very severe – some scientists think all we need to a global temperature increase of 4 degrees to melt the Earth’s ice sheets, but if we reach that ultimately depends on how quickly we stop or reduce carbon dioxide production today.
