• Question: do you want to go in to space ?

      Hi paper,
      I would love to go into space! Who wouldn’t huh? 😉
      I’ve always been crazy about stargazing and imagined myself floating through space between those stars. Now knowing a bit more about space, I know you wouldn’t survive in space without wearing special space suits, and the stars are so far apart from each other they would still look like small dots, but one can always imagine right? 🙂

      YES!! The idea of seeing our beautiful planet below me, a pale blue sphere against the blackness of space, looking down on the world where everything we have ever known has taken place sends shivers down my spine. A very great man called Carl Sagan once said that it is our destiny as explorers to go into space, so a chance to help fulfil that dream would be a great honour.

      Ok I get asked this a lot and people normally think I would say ‘Yeah definitely!’, but the fact is.. going into space is a lot of hard work. Space is a really nasty place for us humans right now. It’s super hot and super cold, it’s full of deadly radiation and all sorts of nasty things that make it a very hard and dangerous place to live in.
      Human astronauts have to train incredibly hard and be protected by all sorts of hi-tech equipment in order to survive. To be an astronaut you have to do excerise for hours and hours every day to keep your body healthy in space – then you have to do your work too in a small tin can orbiting the earth! It’s crazy! 🙂
      If I was going to go into space I would have to do it in style! I would have artificial gravity (so i wouldnt have to work out all the time), I’d have a proper toilet like we do here on earth (you don’t want to know what it’s like for an astronaut to go toilet time! heheh) and to top it off I’d have an awesome sound system and a hot-tub!
      That’s how I’d like to do space travel.. not in a cramped tin can with rubbish food and a toilet made of tubes and strange vacuums hehe 🙂

      Hi, no I think I would be too scared. 😉 I think the people that go into space are very brave and it is very hard work to get fit enough. But maybe one day, I would never say never!

      Yes and no! I’d like to be there, see the beautiful stars really clearly, look down on our lovely planet and enjoy the adventure of doing something very few people have done. On the other hand, it would take an awful lot of preparation, training and work and I get a lot of excitement doing other things down here on earth. You should go though!
