• Question: do you think that science is boring?

      Personally, nope. In fact, I think the exact opposite. I think humans beings have a deep-rooted desire to try and understand stuff, and to try and answer really difficult questions. Now that I am a scientist I could never imagine being anything else! Imagine finding a cure for cancer, or discovering aliens, or solving climate change and saving millions of peoples lives, and enjoying it at the same time! I know that sometimes science lessons in school can be sooooo dull, but it is important to remember that learning about science and actually doing science is quite different – practicals in school are the funnest bit of science lessons, and I get to do practicals all day long. But, not everyone can be a scientists, it does take a certain type of person. You have to be passionate, and patient, and very curious, but also pay a lot of attention to detail….its not often an easy job, but it is definately fun!!
