Question: what is your favourite animal

I have loads, but probably my fave is the sperm whale – NOT because of the name 😀 , but because they have incredibly complex social structures and communication skills that are truly amazing – they used to be able to speak to each other across thousands of miles of ocean, but ship traffic today means they can’t anymore 🙁 Each whale has its own song, like its name, that it sings over and over again, and bits of it change according to where its been and what other whales it has met on its travels…I always imagined they were singing stuff like ‘Hellooooo…..my name is Barry…..today I am in the southern ocean, and I had a nice squid for tea…and yesterday I met Steve….he’s doing ok, has a bit of a barnacle problem….tomorrow I’m off on holiday to the Caribbean….mmmm, I love squid…’
